30 Days to Love Your Body - Health Challenge Rules

health-challenge, bowling green wedding planner, lifestyle blogAre you?  Are you going to join me for the next thirty days treating your body like it deserves??  Let me know if you are and pass the challenge on to friends to get them on board.  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know so I can add you to my Pinterest board that is full of good food!!

Here is the jist ...

Fast off white sugar and all artificial sweeteners, white flour, white potatoes, white rice and corn.  At first glance that may seem really hard, but looking through all the recipes in Sheri's books and all the recipes on our Pinterest board makes you realize it can actually be fun!

Exercise for 20-30 minutes five times a week.

In order to make these thirty days work I think we have to decide what our purpose is.  Why are we doing this?  In Sheri's book she refers to reasons like 'to honor God', 'to experience good health', 'to gain strength and energy' and 'for an eternal prize'.  Sound like great purposes to me :)  I want to be healthy and feel good in my body not only for myself but for Chad and Bronson.  The more he is walking and soon running I am going to have to keep up with him!  And I want to be a hot wife on my husband's arm!

In the book Fit for My King, there is a daily devotional to go along with the thirty days.  You can order the book and read along (I highly recommend and I'm not getting anything for this endorsement!) or read one of your own devotionals each day to remind yourself that you are beautiful and loved just the way you are.

This journey will hopefully be the beginning to a healthy life style.  It's not about weight or food but about learning to treat your body well and love what you can do when you feel good in your own skin.  I can't wait to go through the next thirty days (starting on Sunday the 27th!) with you and change the way we look at food and dieting forever!!

Cheers to no more diets, health, and loving our bodies!
