Bridesmaids

We all know the bride's gown is the most important piece of clothing on the big day! But running in at a close second is....the bridesmaids dresses! To me, bridesmaids dresses make a huge difference in the result of a wedding. In the past, the trend was for all the dresses to be the exact same. For today's trends, the dresses are different and can even vary in color and style. In the wonderful world of weddings, there are so many different styles of dresses. It's really cool because almost every wedding has a different style of bridesmaid dresses. Everyone has their own taste and style and they can all be expressed through different styles, different lengths, and different colors! So girls, which style is your favorite? What do you want your girls wearing along side                             of you on your big day?

One of the more popular styles is short bridesmaids dresses. These are always a fun go to. They can be bright colors or they can be more of a pastel color. They can have sequins or they can have lace. There are so many options with short dresses. And especially in the warmer temperatures, these dresses really help keep your girls cool!

So we've covered the short dresses, can you guess what's next? If you said long dresses, you are a smart cookie! Long bridesmaids dresses are also a huge trend of the big day! Like short dresses, they can come in all different patterns, colors, and textures! I feel long dresses give the wedding a more formal look.

One craze that is very popular in the wedding world right now is one shoulder dresses. A one shoulder dress brings a lot to the table. Most of the time, this style is very flattering on any body type. It offers great coverage for you bustier women (like me, don't worry girls you're not alone). And they are very elegant looking. But at the same time, you can really have a lot of fun with this certain style. And it just looks great!

This next style is probably the most used in the wedding scene. This style is just so simple but so elegant at the same time. You can never go wrong with it! Which style is it you ask? Well of course it's the strapless dress! I would say this style has probably been around the longest and used the most. Everyone loves this go to style just because it is one that everyone looks good in! And it offers the perfect look for the big day!

A lot of people still love the traditional look and have all the bridesmaids wear the same color dress. With having all the girls wearing the same color, they all look very unified, neat, and clean. Everyone is different, and some people would still go with the more traditional look, would you?

As trends change and everyone adapts to those changes, they find themselves having different colored dresses for their bridesmaids to wear. This is one of the more popular wedding trends today. A lot of brides love the mismatch look. It gives the feeling a little something extra, I think. I personally am a huge fan of this idea. This allows each girl to rock her own dress!

I know how hard it is for us women to find dresses we feel comfortable in. Honestly, sometimes is sucks doesn't it? I mean lets just be real. The dress is either too loose up top, it's too snug around the zipper area, or for us tall girls, long dresses never touch the floor... Of course the day is all about the bride, but I guarantee you that your bride wants you to be just as comfortable and confident on her day. And that is the great thing about having different styles of dresses. Different body types wear different styles better than others, and THAT. IS. OK. If you have a bigger chest and you can't comfortably wear a strapless dress...THAT. IS. OK. You have other options to rock!

You know what my favorite thing about weddings is? Other than the beginning of a beautiful couple's life journey together? I love that every wedding is different. There are not two weddings that are the same, and that's AMAZING! There are so many different colors and styles and different ways to make that special day your own.

XOXO,

Kennedy
